Xavi has rapped Barcelona fans barracking president Joan Laporta during yesterday's win against Rayo Vallecano.

With his job on line, fans came out in support of the coach, chanting during the game, "Xavi yes! Laporta no!".

But Xavi was unhappy with the barracking and said afterwards: "I don't like it when they whistle or sing against a person from the club, it's unpleasant. I thank the fans, who always sing to me, chant for me, I have always had the esteem of the stands. Very grateful.

"I don't like it. I'm not looking for this. I always look for unity, consensus, teamwork. I didn't like it. I didn't like this. I don't like when they target someone. It's not pleasant. I want everyone to be happy. They chant my name and I feel the esteem, but I didn't like the songs.

"You have to be (united). Three weeks ago we talked about union, project, hope, ambition... mine has not changed no matter how much people write or speak out. I want to start next season with the utmost enthusiasm."
