The Steelers have just two quarterbacks on their roster for the 2023 season (Kenny Pickett and Mitchell Trubisky). However, the team should look to the XFL instead of the 2023 NFL Draft to address the position.
Pittsburgh did host Houston QB Clayton Tune and BYU QB Jaren Hall, who are both late-round prospects, as top-30 visits.
But rather than using draft capital to add to the room, the Steelers should look no further than Seattle Sea Dragons QB Ben DiNucci, who is certainly making a case for himself in the XFL and should have multiple suitors.

DiNucci, who is still only 26, has led his team to a 7-3 record and an XFL playoff berth, passing for 2,671 yards and 20 touchdowns in 10 games. He also has prior experience in the NFL, playing for the Cowboys from 2021-22.
However, there is more than one reason Pittsburgh should sign DiNucci. He already has a strong connection with the city, playing his high school ball at Pine-Richland and some of his collegiate days at the University of Pittsburgh.
The Steelers are also one of the more intriguing teams for quarterbacks looking for a chance to stick on a roster with their clear lack of depth.
It's unlikely Pittsburgh will hold three quarterbacks on its 53-man roster, but DiNucci could certainly stick as a practice squad member and be ready for his opportunity in case of injury.
