Grandparents Raising Grandchildren, Spring Break Event 3.16.09
What's Up YB's? I wanted to check in with you all and let you know what your boy has been up to.
I spent the day with members of the Grandparents Raising Grandchildren charity that I have partnered with to kick off their Spring Break Festivities. The goals of the event today were to teach the children the importance of education, believing in themselves and the importance of saying no to negative things that come in their lives.
I stressed to each of the kids I spoke to that dreams can come true. I was in their same shoes a few years back and I fought and I never gave up and I am achieving my goals and dreams but it takes hard work and lots of dedication.
Life isn't easy and we might be dealt some tough cards but its how we play those cards..
I want to thank the kids for making me feel at home. Thanks for listening and for letting me be a part of their life. I see good things for all of them in the future...very good things.
